SAVANNAH, Ga. – Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announced the successful first flight of its new Gulfstream G300, officially launching the aircraft’s flight-test program and marking a major milestone for the recently introduced super-midsize business jet.
The inaugural flight occurred from Ben Gurion International Airport, lasting 2 hours and 25 minutes. The aircraft performed at Mach 0.75 and an altitude of 30,000 feet, demonstrating significant program maturity that follows over 2,000 hours of ground testing. Two additional test aircraft are currently in production.
“The G300 is a game changer for the super-midsize category,” said Mark Burns, president of Gulfstream. “Achieving first flight at this stage is a remarkable achievement and highlights our latest investment designed to exceed customer expectations. With the G300, Gulfstream truly offers an aircraft for every mission.”
Positioned to redefine its segment, the G300 sets new standards with class-leading performance and the largest cabin in its category. The spacious interior, illuminated by 10 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows, accommodates up to 10 passengers and features two living areas, a full galley, and generous baggage space. It also offers the lowest cabin altitude in class (4,800 ft at 41,000 ft), 100% fresh air, and a whisper-quiet environment.
The aircraft boasts exceptional range and speed, capable of flying 3,600 nautical miles at Mach 0.80 or 3,000 nm at Mach 0.84. This efficiency is powered by the aerodynamic Gulfstream wing and Honeywell HTF7250G engines.
Advanced safety is central to the G300’s next-generation Harmony Flight Deck. It features six touch screens with Phase-of-Flight intelligence, a 3D Synthetic Vision-Primary Flight Display, and the award-winning Predictive Landing Performance System.
Introduced on September 30, the G300 represents a new benchmark, combining large-cabin comfort and leading-edge technology in a super-midsize aircraft.
