Derazona Helicopters has taken delivery of Indonesia’s first Airbus H160 helicopter, a milestone that introduces the next-generation rotorcraft to the Southeast Asian energy sector. This multi-mission aircraft will join the Indonesian operator’s fleet, primarily serving the demanding offshore energy transport market while also being available for utility work and commercial passenger flights.

The delivery positions Derazona as the pioneer operator of the H160 for energy missions in the region. Bapak Ramadi Widyardiono, Director of Production at Derazona Helicopters, hailed the arrival as the start of an exciting new chapter. “We are eager to deploy its unique capabilities to serve our clients with the highest levels of safety and efficiency,” he stated, adding that the helicopter’s advanced performance would reinforce the company’s leadership in Southeast Asian helicopter services.

Airbus Helicopters also celebrated the landmark, noting it cements their partnership with Derazona. Regis Magnac, Vice President Head of Energy, Leasing and Global Accounts at Airbus Helicopters, called the H160 a “true generational leap.” He emphasized that the aircraft is engineered as an efficient, reliable, and comfortable workhorse, ideally matched to the rigorous operational needs of Indonesia’s energy industry. “This delivery underscores the aircraft’s global appeal and its ability to redefine standards in offshore transport,” Magnac said.

The H160 stands as one of the most technologically advanced helicopters in service today. Its design prioritizes exceptional operational safety and offers best-in-class passenger comfort. A versatile platform, it is capable of performing a wide array of missions beyond offshore energy support, including search and rescue, emergency medical services, law enforcement, and business aviation. With this delivery to Indonesia, the H160 continues to expand its global footprint, having already entered service across continents in nations such as Brazil, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
