Draganfly Inc., a leading developer of drone and robotic systems, has been selected in partnership with DelMar Aerospace Corporation to supply its Flex FPV drones and deliver specialized training to units within the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). The collaboration aims to enhance operator readiness through advanced, realistic instruction on cutting-edge uncrewed platforms.
Under this award, DelMar Aerospace will lead the comprehensive training curriculum at its purpose-built UAS training facility at Camp Pendleton. The program is designed to provide AFSOC operators with foundational and advanced skills in First Person View (FPV) drone operations. Initial training, scheduled to begin in mid-February, will cover FPV assembly, maintenance, flight operations, and mission execution in environments that replicate complex battlefield scenarios.
The core technology for this initiative is Draganfly’s Flex FPV drone, a modular system engineered for tactical adaptability. Its design allows a single platform to be rapidly reconfigured for varied mission profiles, supporting different payloads and flight characteristics. This flexibility provides a consistent training and logistics foundation while meeting the evolving operational demands of modern defense applications.
“We are aligned with DelMar on a core objective: enhancing combat capability and readiness,” said Cameron Chell, CEO of Draganfly. “This partnership ensures that operators train on reliable, modular systems and relevant tactics designed for dynamic real-world conditions.”
DelMar Aerospace brings its established expertise in developing and delivering advanced UAS training and tactics for government clients. The company will manage the instruction, curriculum development, and adherence to stringent government contracting and security standards.
“This effort is focused on developing proficient operators capable of effectively deploying uncrewed systems in high-stakes environments,” stated Stanley Springer, Chief Operating Officer of DelMar Aerospace. “Our training is grounded in operational realism and proven tactical procedures.”
The announcement underscores ongoing support for U.S. Government programs, though specific operational details remain confidential. The partnership between Draganfly and DelMar Aerospace represents a dedicated step toward integrating versatile drone technology with disciplined, mission-focused training for special operations forces.
