During Concept Focused Warfighting Experiment 26 at Yuma Proving Ground, an AH-64E Apache used a rocket-powered launch of Altius 700 for the first time. This integration of Apache mobility with Altius-700’s leading range improves Army aviators’ battlefield awareness and strike power. DEVCOM AvMC aviators conducted the airborne launch, proving how launched effects extend attack helicopter sensing, lethality, and range. Anduril, partnering with DEVCOM AvMC, supports fielding launched effects on Army aviation. Altius 700 is the primary testbed for a government-developed universal launch system enabling low-altitude launches from rotorcraft. The effort follows September 2025 Blackhawk launches of Altius 700s. These successes apply to Blackhawk combat support and rescue missions, as well as Apache reconnaissance and anti-artillery roles. Manned-unmanned teaming provides autonomous, on-demand effects. The collaboration accelerates development of needed warfighter capabilities, advancing the Army’s vision for mass-integrated autonomous assets. Altius-700 offers expanded range, loiter time, and payload over earlier Altius-600, which launched from Blackhawks starting in 2020.
