AerCap Holdings N.V has entered into lease agreements for two brand-new Airbus A321neo aircraft with My Freighter, a cargo airline based in Uzbekistan. This marks AerCap’s first customer partnership within the country. The aircraft are slated for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2027.

My Freighter also operates passenger charter and scheduled services under the name Centrum Air. The introduction of the two A321neos is intended to support the group’s dual-brand growth strategy, enhancing both cargo and passenger operations.

Peter Anderson, Chief Commercial Officer of AerCap, commented on the agreement, stating, “We are very pleased to welcome My Freighter as AerCap’s first customer in Uzbekistan, and to support both the local aviation industry and Tashkent as an emerging hub connecting East and West.” He highlighted the aircraft’s role in the airline’s expansion, noting, “With its market-leading fuel efficiency and extended range, the A321neo will help drive the expansion of My Freighter and its passenger airline, Centrum Air, as they enter new markets.”

The A321neo, renowned for its significant fuel savings and reduced emissions compared to previous-generation aircraft, will provide the airline with greater operational flexibility and range. This is particularly strategic for My Freighter and Centrum Air as they plan to develop new international routes.

Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, Chairman and CEO of Centrum Holding, the parent company, expressed enthusiasm for the fleet addition. “We are pleased to take this next step in our growth together with AerCap. The addition of the Airbus A321neos to our fleet will strengthen our operational capabilities and support our expanding international network, including the upcoming launch of routes to Europe,” he said.

Abdurakhmanov further emphasized the broader impact, adding, “The A321neo’s enhanced efficiency and extended range will enable us to offer greater comfort and more travel opportunities for our passengers while further developing Uzbekistan’s connectivity with key markets around the world.”

The partnership underscores the growing importance of Tashkent as a nexus for Eurasian air travel and reflects continued confidence in the long-term demand for both passenger and cargo capacity in the region. AerCap, as the world’s largest aircraft lessor, plays a pivotal role in facilitating such expansion by providing airlines with access to the latest and most efficient aviation technology.
