Draganfly Inc., a leading developer of drone solutions and robotics, has been selected to provide its Flex FPV drones and related support for a new training program with U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) units. The company will execute the award in partnership with DelMar Aerospace Corporation, a specialist in advanced uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) training for government clients.

The collaboration pairs Draganfly’s operational drone platforms with DelMar’s expertise in creating and delivering mission-focused training curricula and tactics. The initial program will establish foundational First Person View (FPV) drone training for AFSOC personnel. The comprehensive instruction will cover FPV assembly, maintenance, flight operations, and advanced mission planning. Training sessions are slated to begin in mid-February at DelMar Aerospace’s dedicated UAS range facility at Camp Pendleton, a controlled environment designed to simulate realistic battlefield scenarios.

Central to the program is Draganfly’s Flex FPV drone, a modular system designed to serve as a versatile backbone for various small UAS configurations. Its innovative design allows a single unit to be rapidly adapted for different flight profiles and payload capacities, providing forces with a flexible tool that can meet evolving operational needs. This modularity also supports widespread adoption by establishing a common platform for training and logistics.

“Our shared focus is on readiness and combat capability,” said Cameron Chell, CEO of Draganfly. “Partnering with DelMar Aerospace helps ensure operators are training on systems and tactics designed for real-world conditions, with the Flex’s modularity and reliability required to adapt as missions and threats evolve.”

DelMar Aerospace will lead the instruction, curriculum development, and alignment with military standards, ensuring the training remains tactically relevant and secure. “This collaboration is about developing operators who are prepared to employ uncrewed systems effectively in demanding environments,” stated Stanley Springer, DelMar Aerospace’s Chief Operating Officer. “Our focus is disciplined training grounded in combat-proven procedures and operational realism.”

The announcement underscores ongoing work supporting U.S. Department of Defense initiatives. Specific operational details regarding unit names or mission profiles remain confidential. The partnership aims to directly enhance the tactical drone proficiency of special operations forces using adaptable, operationally proven technology.
