Berlin, Germany – Exolaunch, a global leader in launch mission management and satellite deployment services, has announced a new Multi-Launch Agreement (MLA) with Japanese microsatellite pioneer Axelspace Corporation. The landmark contract secures launch services for eight of Axelspace’s satellites across upcoming missions, directly supporting the expansion of its AxelGlobe Earth observation constellation and its innovative AxelLiner platform services.
This strategic partnership addresses a critical need in the modern space industry: ensuring flexible and timely access to orbit. With global launch demand surging, satellite operators often face lengthy delays. The MLA provides Axelspace with a predictable launch pipeline, allowing the company to align mission timelines with assured launch opportunities, thereby reducing risk and accelerating deployment.
A key mission covered under the agreement is for the AxelLiner Laboratory (AL Lab), an in-orbit demonstration service that allows clients to test new space technologies and components. By leveraging the agile, mass-producible AxelLiner platform, AL Lab offers rapid iteration cycles. The MLA ensures these demonstration missions can reach space without the traditional bottlenecks, fostering faster innovation for Axelspace’s partners.
“We are honored to enter this Multi-Launch Agreement with our important partner Exolaunch,” said Yuya Nakamura, President and CEO of Axelspace. “Securing flexible launch opportunities is critical for the smooth execution of our business across both AxelLiner and AxelGlobe operations. We look forward to further deepening our partnership.”
Exolaunch will deliver its full suite of integration and mission management expertise to support Axelspace. This includes launch capacity procurement on multiple vehicles, comprehensive mission management, satellite integration, and the deployment of the spacecraft using Exolaunch’s proprietary EXOpod and EXOport dispensers.
“Axelspace is a trailblazer in Japan’s space industry, and we are proud to support their ongoing launch program through this new MLA,” said Kier Fortier, Vice President of Global Business Development at Exolaunch. “With our global footprint, including our local team at Exolaunch Japan, and extensive flight heritage, we are positioned to provide Axelspace with reliable launch access and deep expertise for the efficient deployment of their satellites.”
With a track record of launching over 650 satellites across 40+ missions, Exolaunch continues to be a pivotal enabler for satellite constellations worldwide, providing end-to-end solutions that turn mission concepts into orbital reality. This agreement marks a significant step in the long-term collaboration between two companies dedicated to making space more accessible and operational.
