Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art 10,000-square-foot facility in Vancouver, British Columbia, dedicated to the overhaul and maintenance of Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A and PT6T engines. This strategic expansion marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth within the critical turbine engine market and enhances its support network across North America.

The modern Vancouver facility is designed to maximize operational efficiency and collaboration. It provides the advanced infrastructure necessary to meet increasing customer demands and industry evolution. This investment underscores Kratos’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) solutions and equipping its teams with the resources needed for excellence.

The expansion also creates a powerful synergy with Kratos’s established operations in Bristow, Oklahoma. Together, the Consolidated Turbines divisions in Canada and the U.S. form a robust support network, enabling expanded capabilities, greater responsiveness, and improved service delivery for operators in both countries. This move strengthens Kratos’s international relationships and reinforces its position as a trusted leader in the PT6 engine sector.

“This move will create seemingly endless possibilities with regards to expansion, employment and in-house capabilities,” said Dave Wark, Director of Kratos MRO Canada. “We are fortunate to have many long-standing Bell Medium customers in Canada, which operate the PT6T model engines. Our goal is to add the fixed-wing version (PT6A models) to our quiver in the near future.”

The new Vancouver site represents the third expansion in less than ten years for the business, originally founded two decades ago as CTS Canada in Langley, BC. Now under the Kratos umbrella, the operation has grown significantly. This latest development provides an enhanced capacity to support customers, a direct testament to the dedication of the Kratos team and the strong, ongoing demand for its specialized engine services. The facility is poised to better serve the Canadian market while contributing to the company’s integrated North American support strategy.
