The rapid proliferation of low-cost drones presents a persistent and complex threat to modern militaries. Defending against these systems requires cost-effective, layered solutions that avoid the financial imbalance of using million-dollar interceptors against thousand-dollar threats. L3Harris Technologies meets this challenge with a suite of scalable, interoperable systems already proven in combat, offering NATO forces versatile protection across all domains.

“Our counter-UAS systems are not prototypes; they are fielded and combat-hardened,” said Ed Zoiss, President of Space and Airborne Systems at L3Harris. “We have successfully neutralized hundreds of hostile drones in active theaters, providing NATO with ready-now, purpose-built solutions.”

The portfolio leverages advanced technology for comprehensive defense. The CORVUS-RAVEN system utilizes AI and machine learning for passive signal detection and precision jamming, creating an automated defensive bubble. For a scalable, layered approach, Drone Guardian integrates diverse sensors and effectors to detect, assess, and disrupt threats across wide areas.

Shifting from defense to offense, L3Harris’ “Wolf Pack” effects platforms—Red Wolf and Green Wolf—are modular systems that can hunt and neutralize enemy UAS at their source. Deployable on air, ground, and maritime platforms, they provide affordable kinetic and electronic attack capabilities at extended ranges.

A standout for rapid deployment is the VAMPIRE system. This compact, multi-mission package can be mounted on virtually any vehicle, delivering precision strike capabilities against drones. Having already defeated hundreds of threats in Europe, its latest evolution incorporates advanced WESCAM MX-Series EO/IR sensors and AI to rapidly defeat elusive targets. Its low cost-per-engagement makes it a pivotal asset for tiered defense.

Further enhancing situational awareness, the WESCAM MX-10D RSTA sensor provides high-performance imaging and AI-enabled drone detection for ground vehicles. Support for these and other systems is strengthened by a new manufacturing facility in Poland, ensuring swift delivery and sustainment for European allies.

Complementing these tools, the Nimble Finch series delivers high-power, adaptive jamming to protect fixed sites and personnel, integrating seamlessly with third-party systems.

As the trusted disruptor, L3Harris provides NATO with an integrated family of battle-tested systems. From detection to disruption and offensive defeat, these solutions ensure strategic superiority against evolving drone threats, safeguarding forces and ensuring a stable European defense posture.
