L3Harris Technologies announced it delivered nearly 500,000 fuzes in 2025, setting a new production record for its Fuzing and Ordnance Systems division. The achievement represents a significant surge in manufacturing output, nearly doubling the 280,000 units delivered in 2024.

The company attributes the production spike to sustained high demand from the Department of Defense and allied nations. For the second consecutive year, L3Harris recorded historic levels of fuze orders, signaling continued reliance on the company’s precision engineering for modern weapon systems.

Fuzes are critical components that initiate the functioning of munitions, ensuring accuracy and reliability in flight. L3Harris produces a range of these devices, along with safe and arm mechanisms and ordnance solutions integrated into solid rocket motors. These components support a broad spectrum of applications, including tactical missiles, air defense systems, and other advanced weapon platforms used by U.S. forces and international partners.

“This milestone reflects L3Harris’ ongoing commitment to delivering advanced, reliable and high-quality fuzing and ordnance solutions to our customers,” said Scott Alexander, President of Missile Propulsion and Missile Solutions at L3Harris. “Achieving a nearly 80% increase in deliveries in a single year demonstrates our ability to scale production and meet the evolving needs of defense programs for our nation and allies.”

The company’s ability to rapidly increase output aligns with broader defense industry trends emphasizing supply chain resilience and surge capacity. As geopolitical tensions drive demand for precision-strike capabilities, manufacturers like L3Harris are under pressure to deliver components faster without compromising quality.

By streamlining production processes and leveraging advanced manufacturing techniques, the company has positioned itself to meet current contractual obligations while preparing for future requirements. The record delivery volume underscores L3Harris’ role as a key supplier in the defense industrial base, providing essential technologies that enhance the effectiveness of precision weapons and solid rocket motors across multiple domains.

With order books remaining robust, L3Harris expects to maintain elevated production levels as it continues supporting critical defense programs for the U.S. and its allies.
