Milrem Robotics and EOS Defence Systems have entered into a strategic teaming agreement aimed at advancing network-centric collaborative combat robotics. The partnership unites Milrem’s expertise in unmanned ground systems with EOS’s advanced remote weapon and counter-drone technologies to deliver scalable, mission-ready solutions for modern armed forces.
The agreement establishes a broad framework for cooperation spanning marketing, product development, and joint research and development. Both companies will leverage their complementary strengths to pursue new business opportunities and accelerate the integration of advanced weapon systems onto unmanned platforms.
“By combining Milrem Robotics’ unmanned ground vehicle expertise with EOS Defence Systems’ advanced weapon and integration capabilities, we are strengthening our ability to deliver scalable and mission-ready solutions for modern armed forces,” said Kuldar Väärsi, CEO of Milrem Robotics. “This teaming agreement reflects our shared commitment to innovation, interoperability, and responding to evolving operational requirements.”
Andreas Schwer, CEO of Electro Optic Systems, emphasized the shifting nature of modern threats. “The drone threat environment is increasingly mobile and contested, and effective defence can no longer be confined to fixed sites or crewed platforms,” he said. “This teaming agreement extends EOS’ world-leading counter-drone systems onto unmanned ground platforms, supporting more flexible and layered defence approaches.”
Under the agreement, the companies will jointly identify opportunities in key international markets, develop coordinated marketing strategies, and explore co-development of new technologies. Integration efforts will include non-ITAR counter-UAS solutions, missile and grenade launcher systems, large-calibre weaponry for heavy unmanned ground vehicles, and laser-based effectors for medium-to-large platforms.
The partnership also provides for the sharing of intellectual property, technical know-how, and research outputs to streamline the commercialisation and deployment of jointly developed systems.
Initial market focus will centre on the Middle East and North Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, and Europe. Priority countries include the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Singapore, and Indonesia. Participation in selected European programmes will also be pursued, while opportunities in the United States will be evaluated individually.
Through this collaboration, Milrem Robotics and EOS Defence Systems aim to deliver interoperable, future-ready solutions that address the growing demand for autonomous, networked combat capabilities in contested environments.
