Moog, a global leader in precision motion and control systems, has entered into a strategic agreement with Echodyne Corp., known for its innovative radar platform technology. The partnership aims to accelerate the development of integrated hardware and software solutions for defense applications by combining Moog’s established weapon-systems expertise with Echodyne’s advanced radar systems.

The collaboration will focus on enhancing Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) capabilities, improving airfield safety systems, and advancing combat vehicle platforms. By merging their respective strengths, the two companies intend to deliver mission-configurable systems tailored for global defense markets. The agreement represents a significant step toward fielding ready-now solutions that address evolving national security priorities.

“Moog recognizes the value of our MESA radars’ unique high-fidelity data for effective counter-drone and low-altitude air defense,” said Eben Frankenberg, CEO of Echodyne. “We are excited by the opportunity to collaborate with an industry leader such as Moog.”

Mike Gruver, Senior Vice President of Moog’s Defense segment, echoed that enthusiasm. “We see incredible opportunity combining Moog’s weapon systems expertise with Echodyne’s advanced radar systems. This relationship allows us to move faster than we could independently.”

The partnership underscores both companies’ commitment to innovation in response to the defense industry’s shifting demands. Under the agreement, Moog and Echodyne plan to collaborate across multiple areas, including test and experimentation, product development, customer demonstrations, and new business pursuits. Their joint efforts aim to deliver advanced capabilities that support a range of defense applications, ensuring military forces have access to cutting-edge technology.

This collaboration brings together Moog’s decades of experience in high-performance systems integration and Echodyne’s cutting-edge radar technology. Echodyne’s metamaterial electronically scanned array (MESA) radars offer compact, high-performance sensing solutions ideal for detecting and tracking drones and other low-altitude threats. When integrated with Moog’s weapon systems, these radars enhance situational awareness and response effectiveness.

As defense challenges grow more complex, the integration of precision control and advanced sensing becomes increasingly critical. By pooling resources and expertise, Moog and Echodyne aim to deliver systems that are not only technologically advanced but also rapidly deployable and adaptable to various mission requirements. The agreement signals a forward-looking approach to equipping allied forces with the tools needed to maintain strategic advantages in an evolving security environment.
