Rostec State Corporation has confirmed the delivery of a new batch of Su-35S multirole fighter aircraft to the Russian Ministry of Defence. The jets were manufactured by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) as part of the ongoing state defence order, directly supplying the Russian Aerospace Forces.
A pilot from the receiving air regiment praised the new equipment, stating, “Our unit’s mission to maintain combat readiness is significantly enhanced with this new batch of Su-35S fighters. The aircraft comprehensively meets the demands of modern aerial warfare, delivering superior performance and reliability in fulfilling all assigned tasks.”
The Su-35S, NATO reporting name “Flanker-E,” is a heavy-class, fourth++ generation fighter jet. Its primary role is to establish air dominance, with a particular emphasis on operations in challenging environments and at extended ranges from its home base. Aviation experts often describe the Su-35S as a critical transitional platform, incorporating technologies that bridge the gap between legacy fourth-generation fighters and the advanced fifth-generation Su-57.
In an official statement, a Rostec representative highlighted the industrial effort behind the delivery. “Our aviation enterprises are operating at a sustained high tempo, consistently meeting production targets for combat aircraft. The Su-35S represents a formidable combination of superior weaponry, next-generation avionics, and exceptional aerodynamic maneuverability. This synergy of capabilities makes it a versatile force multiplier, capable of executing a wide spectrum of missions—from escorting strategic bombers and defending key installations to engaging both aerial and ground-based targets with high precision.”
This delivery reinforces the ongoing modernization of Russia’s tactical aviation fleet, ensuring that front-line units continue to receive one of the most capable fighter aircraft in its inventory.
